About Me
| About Me | Helllooo queerld (queer world?). I’m a recent college gradute training as an educator with a program at a high school in the Bronx, living in NYC for the first time. I’m from Boulder, Colorado, and went to school at UVa in Virginia. I studied environmental science and economics so naturally I am v interested in nature, resource use, human systems/natural systems interactions, sustainability, societal environmental policy and cultures, etc. I also spent a lot of my time in college organizing dialogue and thinking about critical self-care; other-care; and conflict in productive, brave spaces (and how to build those spaces), especially around experiences of race, class, gender, LGBTQ+ identities, mental health, and community. Currently thinking a lot about criminal justice in America and also bringing my thoughts down to the level of practicing realness (as in thinking on levels informed by lived experience, data/anecdotes/biases, and real human mindsets). I love talking about things like ethics and economics, existentialism, LGBTQ+ topics, and how brains work. I try to live my life with/by/for dark/light/sarcastic/stand up comedy; active engagement of my mind and body and soul; curiousity about people, science, and truth; writing and composing my thoughts for posterity/growth; rich emotional experiences that bring me new levels of human understanding. |
