Currently enjoying being a medical-student and generally enjoying the lifestyle and indeed social attitudes of someone considerably younger than my actual age. My profile pic was taken this year and so is an accurate depiction of me.

I hold a Bsc in Physics an MA in creative writing, and I’m currently studying to be a medical doctor so hopefully I will soon add an MBBS and a DHMSA to that list of qualifications. Friends often joke that I’m working on getting more letters after my name than the name!

In many respects I’m starting life over after a rather stressful period which saw me lose my partner of 25 years and at the same time qualify for medical school, where I am now in my third year.

I define myself principally as SAPIOSEXUAL – that means that for me it is primarily the mental connection and companionship aspects of the relationship that matter more than, to coin a phrase the “exact plumbing arrangements…” I do have a slight preference for women over men, witness the fact that my last partner, to whom I was exclusively faithful for 25 years until she died, was a woman.

In terms of my lifestyle and attitude I’m a glass half full kind of person who tends to tackle life with humour and a positive attitude. About the only thing I can’t be dealing with is people who have intense “issues” with this that and the other and insist on being intensely evangelical about them.

So in short if you are educated to degree level, can hold a decent conversation and don’t take life too seriously then lets talk and see where we go.

I’m NOT looking for pen-friends. So please don’t contact me if you aren’t at least willing to try a meeting at some point.

Oh one last little thing which I’m going to mention right up front to avoid any misunderstandings. I was born with an intersex condition, which is slightly awkward because it genuinely doesn’t really fit into the “trans” category, which is why I don’t tick that box, but nevertheless has had an effect on who I am and various circumstances of my childhood and adolescence.

It was all medically and surgically corrected a very long time ago (like many many decades) – so it really isn’t a “current issue” for me, but I’m mentioning it now because if we did get together I want you to feel that I have trusted you.
