VIDEO: Our New Webseries “Words With Girls” Is Here, Now Co-Starring Hannah Hart!

Hey, remember back in April when I was all, “I have a show I’d like to make for you” and then you were like, “Yes, please make that show!“? Well, we’re doing it! And rather than make you wait forever to get all of them at once and then it be over as quickly as it came, we’re going to release the episodes as they’re ready. Does that sound awful? Only if you don’t like surprises! In case you have no clue what I’m talking about, here’s a refresher.

WORDS WITH GIRLS is a mostly scripted but part-improv comedy webseries that focuses on 20-somethings in Los Angeles. When they’re not busy navigating “the scene” or jumpstarting their careers, these women do what the young, gifted and bored do best: shoot the shit. The episodes will showcase the friendship and witty banter of a few women that happen to like women. Word to the Bechdel Test.

In case you missed the first episode, “Semi-“, here it is!

Now before you watch the second episode and become terribly confused, I should announce that Hannah Hart (My Drunk Kitchen, A-Camp aficionado) has joined the cast of WWG! In this first batch of episodes, you’ll be tagging along with Hannah and Brittani as they get ready for and attend a party. Please enjoy “Gussy” at this moment in time.

Now you might have a lot of questions like: When will the next episode be out? When will Lauren be back? Where are my keys? Why don’t you like hummus? And I have answers to some of those questions. But the best thing for you to do to ensure you don’t miss anything is to subscribe to the Words With Girls Channel. Not only will you be the first to know when new WWG episodes are posted, but you’ll be kept abreast of all the other happenings. Like this song or this sketch. You see, I have plans (key word being plans) to have a new video on the channel every week to tide you over between episodes. So watch all the things! Share all the things! Tweet all the things! Because those are the easiest ways to ensure that we can keep making content and I can continue to justify my “artistic” lifestyle. No seriously, it’s important. Thank you and good night!

Brittani Nichols is a Los Angeles based comedy person. When she's not tweeting about white people or watching television, she's probably eating pizza. Actually, she's probably doing all three of those things concurrently and when she's not doing THAT, she's sleeping. Brittani also went to Yale and feels weird about mentioning it but wants you to know.

  1. hope it’s not too stalkerish if I go HAM promoting this on all my networks.

this is some funny funny shit. congrats, other B.

(cuz u know Beyoncé is the first B.)

  2. Spot on. This was absolutely hilarious….no one wants their greasy bangs on facebook! lmao. Also, “I’d do me” is a pretty good indicator as to whether or not you’re ready to head out.

  3. Why is hair so difficult?!
Every day the lazy part of me goes if I let it dry naturally, it’ll be all way and cool.
No. Its just flat and sticky uppy. I never learn

  4. I love your hair, Brittani! Also, you two are hilarious and I am excited for more WWG!

  5. Is it really mascara first, eyeliner second? Have I been doing makeup wrong forever?

But also, this is an amazing team all over.

  6. Omigod, I didn’t think Hannah could get any cuter, but then THIS happened! Seriously, I may or may not have squealed when she was fixing herself in the mirror.

Brittani, I can appreciate this so much more after getting to see you in person and seeing that this is actually you. Like. So fucking funny, I love it.

  7. The second episode was totally me after I chopped my hair off for the first time. Great work, guys, I’ll definitely keep watching!

    • Ditto. “Shit! How do I get it back to where the hairdresser did it? My shit looks like something crawled up in there, made a nest, then died. I need to call the emergency hair hotline, but I got my hair done on Saturday, it’s Sunday, the shop is closed and I work on Monday… HALP! ;__; “

  8. Omg, I was wondering why there were captions on the youtube video, apparently I clicked on the CC option and it gave me the most weirdest translations ever, that I thought it was all part of the lols and I was like wtf? (I highly recommend that you click on the CC options, if you want more lol’s) *puts on dunce hat* Yep, I’m speesho.

  9. Whoa. 5 Minutes? This was so much better in real life because it lasted longer. Brittani and Hannah = priceless.

  10. I don’t want to inappropriately objectify Brittani in a comment….so I’ll just do it in my mind.

  11. Yes! I donated to the kickstarter am I’m so excited! This is such a fun webseries and Brittani is awesome!

  12. I was excited about this but then Hannah Hart made a rape joke and was all “sorry I’m not sorry” about it. Not cool. :(

But in other news Brittani is funny and looking super cute?

    • Yeah, feeling awkward as shit right now about Autostraddle promoting/working with someone who thinks rape jokes are OK.

      • The joke wasn’t about rape it was about how an alcoholic drink could taste like a non-alcoholic drink. The rape joke at the end of her “Rape is bad” video kind of just gave everyone a reason to rage about it. I’m a victim of rape and I don’t care that Hannah made one little joke about it.

  13. this excites me so much. you have no idea how happy new and funny things make me, especially when there are queers in them. my morocco life does not have enough queer in it.
