No Filter: Wishing You a Very Gay and Glittery 2022 From the Betts, the Yellowjackets Cast, and More

Hello and welcome to No Filter, Autostraddle’s go-to place for Instagram thirst. I am, notably, not Christina! Fear not, friends. She is merely taking a break, but she will be back to this column post haste. For now, you’re stuck with me. But to be fair, I am in a group chat with Christina in which it is proven many times that we share at least a handful of brain cells. The clown-to-clown-communication meme? That’s literally us. Anyway, here’s your New Year’s Eve-filled iteration of No Filter!

You can bet your ass that The Betts celebrated the new year in style and glitz and…a well placed hand.

Bye bye 2021 and…hello Trace.

Did you rly think my No Filter takeover would not include a Yellowjackets tribute? Bless Jasmin Savoy Brown for this important video dump.

As a former Hat Gay, I appreciate this weird hat representation.

Can I get…a ride? (I’m sorry!!!!!!)

Happy Capricorn season from this Cap in a cap.

Oh how I WISH my New Year’s Eve look had been as good as Laverne’s!!!!!!

Some wholesome NYE content!!!!

Shoutout to any of the sad gays who spent NYE listening to Lucy Dacus on repeat. I see you, and I respect you.

It is an honor and a privilege to shepherd in Candace Parker‘s No Filter debut.

It also would not be a KKU NF Takeover without me plugging a book, so have you read Crying In H Mart yet? You should read Crying In H Mart.

I would like to wish everyone a very gay and glittery 2022.

Oh you really thought I was going to leave it at ONE Yellowjackets shoutout? (P.S. If ur a Buzzhead, u really should follow the whole cast for some great behind-the-scenes content.)

  1. I have read crying in H Mart and cried about it. Do we have confirmation Zauner is queer?? (I don’t know if that’s a requirement for No Filter, just assumed with Candace Parker’s debut).

  2. Interesting that Trace was able to post that picture with all the naked guys & twinks. I had a friend get banned for 48 hours cause she only posted fully body picture with an outline of her stuff. It got flagged as porn.
