“The Intervention” VIDEO: Tegan and Sara and Clea DuVall Can’t Get Enough Of Each Other

Fresh off their recent “BWU” music video collaboration, Tegan and Sara and Clea DuVall are at it again. Today, your favorite Canadian heartthrobs dropped the video and full song they wrote for DuVall’s new indie film, The Intervention. You maybe have heard this film called But I’m a Cheerleader 2 because of how Natasha Lyonne and Duvall play girlfriends, and Melanie Lynskey is in it also. The music video is pretty dang adorable. It’s full Tegan and Sara pining set against outtakes from the film. (Trigger warning: Natasha Lyonne winks right at you at the 34-second mark.)

DuVall told Rolling Stone: “‘Fade Out’ captures the emotional complexity of the film. I love the duality of the dreamy melody with the somewhat bittersweet lyrics. When Sara first played me the finished song, all of my anxiety disappeared. The more I hear it, the more I fall in love with it.”

Sara Quin also scored The Intervention, which she says she learned how to do by Googling “How do I score a film?”

The movie, which obviously we will review for you, hits theaters this Friday, and will also be available On Demand.
