These Videos Are 100% Guaranteed To Make You Smile

I have been trying to be careful of what I have been absorbing over the past few weeks and now is the time to be picky because there has been an abundance of material to choose from. I’ve been reading, writing and doing some home projects here and there but social media has been the main pleasure to scroll through.

The creativity of the Queer & Black community has invariably been there, but throw in slight boredom and some extra free time and you niggas thrive on a whole other level. This is just a handful of the things that have made me smile and cackle while my phone is propped up against the toaster while I’m standing over the stove eating hamburger helper in my panties (the lasagna one SLAPS).

Quinta and her very cool friends

I LOVE Quinta Brunson. She is cool, funny and a V V dope writer. She is on some of the most popular shows that everybody recognizes like Lazor Wulf and Black Lady Sketch Show and her piece campaigning for average babes in the most recent issue of Playboy was perfection.

She has been over on her Instagram during this social distancing moment showing off her very serious DJ skills and interviewing her cool ass friends randomly. I have loved every minute of it and you should follow her on IG for the sporadic talk show.

Kiyanna being gorgeous and in love

Kiyanna Stewart is one half of Blk Mkt Vintage, a dope online AND brick and mortar shop that specializes in black collectibles and more that show the black experience. Owned and operated with Kiyanna’s equally dope partner, Jannah Handy, I fawn over the items they handpick every time they come up on my feed. Now I get to watch them both be extra cute in their stories, hear Kiyanna’s super cute laugh and look at their dog be cute and in charge around the house.

Lucy Stoole being a glam cyber queen

I’ve been a fan of Chicago Drag Queen Lucy Stoole since a friend introduced me to her a while back. There is nothing like seeing Lucy perform in person but she still brings it when she’s locked in a tiny box on my screen. I’ve been able to watch (and tip) while she performs some of my fav numbers and brings new ones. I’ve always admired Lucy’s honesty and she remains true to that trait through chats on IG live with friends about mental health, missing seeing friends and what its been like financially for her and other queens while not being able to perform IRL.

Inside Addition with Crystal: Head Ass News for Face Ass People

There is no way to put into words the love that I have for this. Crystal Anderson and her producer/fiancee Kiesh have made a WHOLE ASS PRODUCTION. Crystal is already a fashion inspiration for many, Kiesh is a very dope designer and artist and together they make the cutest creative couple and now news team. Inside Addition has only three segments: “What I’m Doin,” “What the World Doin,” and “What You Doin.” There is a new guest every show and she has already had on Lena Waithe and Tess Holiday so there is no reason not to tune in for this moment full of headassery.

Tik Tok Challenges perfected by African Beauties, Gorgeous Alt Babes and Hot Androgynous Bois

I have already spoken here about my love for TikTok but the app is notorious for not putting blackness at the forefront. I don’t understand why (well, I do but we won’t get into that right now) because black people always take the challenges up a notch and knock it out the fucking park. The “Don’t Rush Challange” is my latest obsession and once again, black people killed it. There are a bunch of versions on the app but these three are my absolute favs.

P.S. I obviously already went through the socials of all the Andro Bois and pretty much all of them are taken but hey, shoot your shot if you still want to.

Teach Me.

Love Me.

Marry Me.

Bonus: How Dare You Edition.

I had to add this because just like everyone else in the comments who have watched this on a loop — I have feelings for you.
