The Lakeview Crew #7: Hold All The Feels

In a black and white, six-panel comic, Max calls Maya on the phone. Max has short cut curly hair and layered shirts. Maya remains offscreen. It's been a hard week — with grad school zoom calls getting the best of Max, fires causing environmental distress to their home, and the mourning of Breonna Taylor. More than anything, Max just need a friend. At first Maya interrupts Max's processing to speak, but Max reaffirms that what they are most needing right now is an ear to listen. So instead Maya offers to sit with them on the phone and to breathe together. Together, they can "hold all the feels." Max cries, that's exactly what he needs most.
