Aww! Thanks for all of the wishes of good luck! When I told my wife I won an award she was impressed that she married an “award winning lesbian.” So yeah, thanks!
It’s sort of like when we went out for New Years Eve after dating for a month and a half to a lesbian bar in the city. We were one of the first twenty customers for the evening so we got a year long VIP card for the bar. We laughed that we were “card carrying lesbians.” She was my first girlfriend/serious partner at the ripe old age of 31 so the affirmation was nice.
I seriously feel like I got an official certificate of queerness with this award. Maybe I’ll print out an actual certificate…
