Sunday Funday Is Celebrating Caitlin Kinnunen’s Lady Love!

Hello and happy Sunday friends and nemeses. Yesterday, for no real reason I decided to listen to the audio version of that book that Chip and Joanna Gaines wrote together and I’m here to report that heterosexuals are still, in no way at all, okay. Another thing that happened yesterday is that I was running and then it started raining and then I started sing “feel the rain on YOOOOUR skin!” And then someone was in front of me because I turned a corner and they definitely heard me singing! I ran away! But I was already on a run so it didn’t seem like I was running away out of embarrassment, even though I 100% was.

+ Noname released her new “Song 32” and talked about why it matters to her that she stay an independent artist.

I don’t want my music to be owned by white entities—that’s mainly why I’m independent. I just don’t think we need it if you’re able to mobilize a fan base through grassroots, just playing shows, and social media.

+ Athens, GA is becoming a safe haven for religious LGBTQ+ folks!

+ Some Queer Eye news about Jess the lesbian hero.

+ Lesbian. Cheesemongers. That’s it. That’s the whole thing.

The queerest cheese is definitely Feta Lesbos, from the island of Lesbos. The Lesbian sheep—yes, this is the real term for sheep from Lesbos—produce a rich four- to 18-month brined feta distributed in the US by Essex Cheese. Lesbos is the only Greek island to hold a PDO [Protected Designation of Origin] for feta, so feel free to eat copious amounts of this cheese with your queer friends knowing these Lesbian sheep are in good hands.

+ This is kinda old, but damn I love reading about kd lang.

+ Remembering the Haven Riot, another groundbreaking moment in queer activist history.

+ Caitlin Kinnunen, the star of new Broadway musical The Prom – about two teenage lesbians trying to go to prom – is dating a woman!

+ Here’s some preparatory reading about camp before the Met Gala next month.

+ Milk Makeup has got you covered for 420 related makeup and skincare needs.

+ It was pouring rain this morning so I made you a playlist for this new YeeHawnaissance we’re having.

Okay, go now! Look at a flower or something! Pet a cat’s belly for just a tiny bit of time! Do at least two things a day that make you feel good because you totally deserve it. Okay bye!!!!

    • This is freakin’ awesome ! Thanks for the link, I got lost for hours and hours

  1. I petted my neighbor’s cat for 15 minutes!

I’m off to get some lesbian cheese now.

    • And this story is why calls to only cast LBG+ people in LGB+ roles is a bit complex. There’s no way to to know if an actor is possibly exploring, fluid, less out, etc.

  2. OH NO I had hopes that Chip + Joanna were, like, actually ok instead of fake-TV-ok. I expected too much from the straights u_u

    • Oh no honey. They are exactly the type of Christian I already assumed they were. They even go to a similar type of bigoted Church that Chris Pratt goes to that has a history of awfulness towards gay people.
