As both a hard-core web geek and an avid comic book fan, I’m enjoying the new comic themes for iGoogle way too much. My iGoogle page is currently rocking the Jaime Hernandez theme— featuring Maggie & Hopey, the awesome lesbian couple from Love and Rockets. Other tempting choices include the female-centric Women of the DC Universe theme and (if your number one feeling is 80s nostalgia), the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme.

  1. I really liked the wedding entrance video in all its cheesiness. The only problem was that Chris Brown’s domestic violence history kept popping into my head. It was a bit of a downer for me.

    • They are Minnesota folk so I saw the video early last week (it made the news because, you know, nothing else is going on in the world – ha ha). I thought it was sweet but I too thought about the domestic violence thing. Kudos to the couple for making the wedding memorable though.

  2. Yes @ comic book themes! I went with the Vertigo theme as I am on a Warren Ellis kick right now.
    Moar comic book nerdiness!

  3. true story andrew wk went to one of the three high schools i went to and wrote a cool zine. anyhow i have watched the weather video three times and recommend to everyone that they do the same bc it makes me laugh more and more every time.

  4. I am 100% hungover today and feel like death but this just made it all a bit more bearable. ace fix, thanks!

  5. Maybe I’m missing the point, but I don’t get what the “inappropriate broadcast content” is supposed to be.
