Anonymous Sex Toy Review: The Bouncer Dildo

AUTOSTRADDLE ANONYMOUS SEX TOY REVIEW:

Over the last few years, sex toy companies and stores have asked us to review their toys in exchange for, you know, their toys. This week, one of our anonymous reviewers tried out the Bouncer dildo from Fun Factory, sent to us by Babeland.

  • Size: 5″ by 1-1/8″
  • Material: silicone with internal ABS plastic balls
  • Color: black, red, or pink
  • Price: $100

A black Bouncer dildo

Using the Bouncer dildo feels like fucking with kegel balls you can actually notice, but it only really shines with a partner.

The Bouncer is a pretty standard non-realistic silicone dildo. It’s flexible but not too flexible. A decent size that isn’t big or small. Curved just enough to hit a g-spot without being focused on hitting a g-spot. Safe for vaginal and, in a harness, anal penetration (the flare at the base isn’t big enough alone). What makes it interesting is the presence of three rotating balls in the bulbed shaft that you can feel move when the toy moves. If you’ve ever felt a kegel ball experience intended for fun just didn’t quite get there (kegel balls are so small, after all), this might be the toy for you.

The Bouncer is made of soft silicone with the lube-eating, dust-catching texture that characterizes many Fun Factory silicone sex toys. While the internal balls are ABS plastic, the body is totally silicone, and I boiled it for a few minutes to sterilize it with no problems or obvious internal melting. Over time (about a year, sorry Babeland), I’ve noticed the seam up the body of the toy becoming more apparent — a little disappointing, considering the company and price tag (update: Fun Factory has a two-year warranty and no one else seems to have had this complaint) — but not so much as to stop me from using it. It also has a smooth, slightly cupped base that sticks to any flat surface. Even slightly dusty just by being out of the sink for five minutes, it stuck to my wall, desk, desk drawer, plastic chair and floor and only detached when I pulled at it. I tried masturbating with the Bouncer suctioned to the floor, for science, but found that having it stationary limited how much I could feel the rotating balls rotate.

I masturbated with it in my hand, which was better. The smaller base left lots of room for a Magic Wand, but since when I get close to coming of my own devices I tend to want less thrusting and more clenching, I lost a lot of what was fun about the dildo at the crucial moment — the balls didn’t move enough on their own to feel significant, though the shape was still interesting to clench around.

But the Bouncer excels during strap-on sex. Wearing it, the motion of the internal balls make the base feel like it’s vibrating gently against you, making blow jobs, penetration and simply walking around more interesting. Receiving it, you can really feel the internal balls move, and unlike in masturbation there are two bodies doing the work instead of one.

I wouldn’t reach for this dildo over another alone, but with a partner it’s a really interesting change of pace.

  1. Is the photo of the black one? Usually when they say black they mean outer-fucking-vinyl-space black and that midnight blue looking black is way more appealing. Asking for a friend, who is me.
