  1. omg, this is my favorite one yet!!! I am with Scout, drinking and avoiding my problems is WAY easier than actually dealing with them ;)

  2. So great!

I also noticed Anna’s shop has a zine about they/them pronouns. Totes gonna preorder some to hand to people when they don’t understand my pronouns. Thanks Anna! :)

  3. I do the nerd thing and remind people that alcohol is a depressant, but I don’t discourage destroying stuff. Just encourage constructive destruction with safety procedures.

Smashing shit is exercise, exercise give you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy.
Burning stuff won’t give you that, it just won’t.

  4. 1. This is the most validating thing of all time.
    2. I am constantly thinking about how I still categorise myself as a person who ‘cannot deal with feelings?!?!’ and yet ive actually grown into a person who can and its a very large part of my work. I am literally paid to cheer up distressed people. HOW DID I BECOME THIS?

  5. 100% thanks for this. I’m currently allergic to alcohol, and it has made me realize that my coping strategies have not really been helpful…

  6. Love this! So exciting learning about Ari and seeing the different interactions! Also interesting to see Andy without Scout/ different character combinations in stories. I feel like I am learning more about them all from Ari being introduced. Go Anna!

  7. I read this as I was doing exactly what Scout describes. Very meta, very facepalm.

    ~ breakup realness, yo ~

  8. I love your comics, Anna. I was just reading some dykes to watch out for and realized your comics feel like Alison Bechdel’s work updated for a new generation of queers and with a bit more of an anarcho spin than a socialist one.

All that to say, your comics are amazing and I wish someone would pay you to publish them in a graphic novel or something. Your characters are so relatable and well thought out and realistic and now I’m just gushing and probably need to stop talking. Thanks for your comics, they brighten up my days

    • and thank you for this thoughtful sweet comic! I really appreciate it! I hope it’s a graphic novel too (someday soon!)
