Cameron is an illustrator hailing from Ohio. When she’s not drawing, she’s probably very, very quietly having loud thoughts about: queer things, her eventual shop, what to watch next on Netflix, food, names for her future pets, and tumblr.

Cameron has written 1 article for us.

  1. Oh, I knew 2 so well, especially at one place – very old construction, solid stone, so I’d routinely wake up to ice on the windows in winter. On the inside. =:P

Despite 1 (though, being in an apartment in Minneapolis, not far from Dinkytown – yes, really – we didn’t have to worry about driveways or cars), I still really miss actual winters. Pretty much everywhere else I’ve lived has been relentlessly temperate, with possibly a day or two’s snow, which inevitably causes the entire locality to grind (or rather, slither) to a halt with the same disbelief as LA drivers witnessing rainfall.

9 is a.. *cough* nuisance when it comes to winter wildlife photography. Fiddling with DSLR buttons and dials with any kind of meaningfully warm glove on is a touch challenging. (Clearly, what Nikon needs to do is offer an internal heater option. Sentimentally adorable chimney optional)

I shall, of course, quietly disagree with 4, for obvious reasons. ^_^

  2. We’re experiencing a WINTER for the first time in a while here in NorCal. I don’t have the wardrobe for this. Like, I forgot that long underwear was a thing and was kinda panicked about how I was going to make it through the season with just yoga pants and sweatpants.

And, having never personally celebrated Christmas, I am feeling unprecedented level of Grinchyness. Normally, I’m like “meh,” this year I’m all “cultural oppression!!!!1!”

  3. I was going to type something about having to swat mosquitoes in December, but

    a) that’s a bit rare where I live

    and

    b) snow is just too evil, nothing I can think that’s not a major storm system or horrid natural cataclysm is as evil as snow is to me.
Fuck snow, there is nothing magical about wet, cold, white deathliness that can hide rocks, ditches and corpses or fall off a mountainside and crush/smother you.
