Sydney: I keep reading that. To be honest, when we were doing it, I never thought of it. I didn’t even think about doing it. And now I’m watching, going, “Oh. Oh wow, Olivia.”
Brittany: Paula having this experience with someone else when she’s supposed to be bonding with her best friend, I think that totally leans into it and kind of insinuates a romantic tension. I’ve definitely had people ask as well.

EW did a first preview of wheel of time (amazon prime)
It’s a big fantasy show with women in focus and it will be *spoiler*
Excerpt from EW: “The Wheel of Time also differentiates itself from those other big-name franchises in the way it highlights its female characters. While Middle-earth’s most prominent heroine has to disguise herself as a man, and Westeros’ few female conquerors are often facing threats of sexual violence, the world of WoT is essentially matriarchal. The largest kingdom in the novels’ unnamed land is ruled by a queen who will pass her crown to her daughter rather than her son, and uneasy peace is maintained by the female-only mystic order known as the Aes Sedai.”
The books had lots and lots of WLW relationships just very understated and blink and you’d miss it types (the male writer was into some weird relationship and gender tropes and apparently “all women are gay in college” was one of them). But wouldn’t be surprised if that was expanded on in a more 2021 appropriate way in the tv show.
