Riese’s Team Pick: MTV’s Undressed

Hi! Did you suffer from insomnia/sexual deprivation/adolescence in the mid-90s? Perhaps you stayed up all night watching Undressed marathons on MTV as well, even though it was a terrible show, like I did! Sometimes even queer stuff happened and Emmet Honeycutt showed up. Anyhow for some reason possibly related to the show being awful, it’s not out on DVD yet.

Anyhow IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN, you’ll be happy to find out, perhaps a few years late as I did, that you can at least watch Season One of Undressed now on the internet at Undressed TV and that they’ll allegedly be uploading further seasons at some point. So. Watch that spot.

  1. I’m fairly certain Undressed was the root of all the gay in my life. That may or may not be because the heterosexual relationshits portrayed made me NEVER want to be in one.

  2. I was definitely a sexually deprived adolescent insomniac in the 90s. I would watch marathons of Undressed in the middle of the night with the sound low to make sure my parents didn’t hear it

    • my parents caught me watching it once. During a gay-themed episode, too. THAT was an interesting conversation.

  3. Considering how much late night MTV and Nick @ Nite I remember watching, I don’t think I can possibly have slept at all as a teenager.

  4. ahh this show was terrible/awesome and i loved it. So many current actors/actresses were on it and so was a substitute teacher in my high school.

  5. Oh. Em. Gee. This brings me back.

The sexual tension! The actors we now recognize from their later roles! And most importantly, THE SOUNDTRACK. Omg the soundtrack.
