Relevant To Your Interests: The Nerdiest Coloring Books in All the Land

Last month we painted minis because quietly making stuff is one antidote to this white nationalist administration for me! So here’s another way to sit calmly with your own thoughts and not panic scroll through the New York Times and Facebook. Once a week, try sitting down, lighting a candle and turning all screens off while you color. But even if the screens are off, it doesn’t mean our nerd is. Below: the nerdiest coloring books I could find.

  2. Sisters Uncut, an intersectional feminist group taking direct actions against cuts to domestic violence services in the UK, has an AMAZING political colouring book for sale to fundraise. It’s been mostly drawn by my ex (cries) who I have super conflicting feelings towards, but it’s magnificent anyway and I think you should all get one!

If you want to save a few bucks, and you’re a comics fan, another great thing you can do is make copies of the black and white pages out of those large collections of comics, like the ones Marvel sells. You don’t have to buy them – often public libraries have them! You can either use your own scanner/copier or the library’s. Using this strategy, I am having a blast coloring in some of the greatest Wolverine stories of the early 90s. My splash page of Mojo bursting through the door and surprising the dog snot out of Jubilee is tight, guys.

  4. Oh no. Don’t be tempting me with all this. I already have a whole bag full of colouring books that are nowhere near finished! I’ve forbidden myself from buying any more until at least one of those is done. (or at least the two emptier ones are half done. or something)
