Pop Culture Fix: What if Evan Rachel Wood Is Playing Elsa’s Girlfriend in “Frozen 2”?

The Hollywood Reporter says that Evan Rachel Wood is in talks to join Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel in Frozen 2 and  “the plot is not yet known,” and “Frozen 2 is set for a Nov. 27, 2019, release.” I agree that the plot is not yet known but think on this for a second. What’s the number one trending hashtag/plea to Disney on the internet right now? #GiveElsaAGirlfriend, right? Right. Who is an outspoken and known bisexual who loves to play gay? Evan Rachel Wood Bisexual, right? Right. Now then what’s an anagram for “Disney Princess”? Obviously “Incensed spy, sir” and who does Evan Rachel Wood play on Westworld? Dolores Abernathy, who is absolutely an incensed spy, sir. Case closed! Elsa is for sure getting a girlfriend and for sure it will be Evan Rachel Wood.

(This is not a fact. But it could be. 20GayTeen, she giveth!)

Anyway, I’m excited to see ERWB get in a fight with a snowman!

Paramount is selling its horrible remake of Heathers to countries that don’t care about homophobia. Stay classy, Hollywood!

Renee Montoya’s definitely going to be in the new Birds of Prey movie with Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn!

Everything Noelle Stevenson touches turns queer, and I’n convinced that’s gonna be the case with her new Netflix She-Ra reboot. We finally got some character pictures this week and for the honor of Greyskull they look so good!

Here’s a very cool thing over at THR: 21 Transgender Stars, Creators Sound Off on Hollywood

We don’t know why Cher and Meryl were smooching on the red carpet at the Mamma Mia: 2 Fast 2 Furious premiere in London, but they sure were.

Ryan Murphy’s new show, The Politician, which includes some people you might have heard of like this lady called Barbara Streisand, has also cast newcomer Rahne Jones. Natalie did some research and concluded: “Didn’t want to judge Rahne (pronounced Ronnie) Jones by her alternative lifestyle haircut so I checked and can verify that she’s an out lesbian. Also she played basketball. But I repeat myself.”

You gotta read this interview and check out this photoshoot with Pose stars Mj Rodriguez, Dominique Jackson, and Indya Moore.

Hey, hey, hey, hey! A teaser finally for Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor Who! (I’ll remind you that she’s married to River Song.) Read this interview after you watch the trailer!

I truly cannot figure out what in the world is going on in this movie, which I believe is called A Simple Favor. I think the favor is scissoring? I don’t know. Natalie says it’s like Gone Girl. Maybe its a sequel. Girl Gone Gay. (I’m sorry.)

We’re getting a Shuri comic book! #WakandaForever

The USWNT is ready for their World Cup already.

Trace Lysette has a new indie film on the way; it’s set to star ten trans actors in trans roles!

This is the best tweet I saw this week. It filled me with such hope! (Thanks for sharing, Carmen!)

The trailer for Colette is here! I’m going to write about IRL Colette for you very soon!

  1. i have never seen frozen but i am pretty reasonably sure evan rachel wood gets in a fistfight with a snowman and then instigates the robot uprising?

    • I see ERWB in that suit and I click. Also that (not)Gone Girl 2 movie doesn’t look particularly exciting but yet again… the suit. I’m just a sucker for a woman in a well-cut suit

  2. All I can glean from that Doctor Who trailer is that she makes pizza reappear? Though tbh what other supernatural powers does one need in life anyway

  3. I’d watched that ‘Colette’ trailer and then I started reading about her and now a few hours later I’m still submerged in the thorough analyses of the Parisian lesbian scene in the time of Belle Époque (and very not writing my thesis cause who needs a master’s degree when a gem like that is right before your eyes). And I kid you not, my darlings, ‘The Chart’ is nothing compered to that.

        • And Renée Vivien seems to be Jenny.
          Damn I can’t stop, it’s so fascinating.
Someone should make a tv show about this. The BeLLe word

          • I made ‘La Carte’. I can link Colette to Virginia Woolf with a chain of lesbian romances

        • I once read an English translation of one of her French novels: Women Lovers, or The Third Woman. It’s autobiographical. She is most definitely the Shane.

  4. After watching Pose, I am giving Ryan Murphy a second chance, especially if Barbra Streisand is going to be in it. Yentl really gave me the queer feels.

  5. THANK YOU for the inclusion of that Anna Kendrick/Blake Lively movie if that is not Gay Gone Girl I do not know what it is

  6. I see what you did with the Disney Princess anagram.

Well, a quick scan of Norwegian surnames reveals ‘Ingebrigtsen’ as the obvious choice for Elsa.

Elsa Ingebrigtsen –> Lesbian gets reign

  7. In reference to

“Hey, hey, hey, hey! A teaser finally for Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor Who! (I’ll remind you that she’s married to River Song.) Read this interview after you watch the trailer!”

Did you all see about how Jodie Whittaker had her picture taken with Alex Kingston at Comic-con, and BBC America tweeted it out with the caption, “The Doctor and her wife” then 2 seconds later, deleted and reuploaded, “Jodie Whittaker meets the Doctor’s Wife”

    Really irritating.

  8. “What’s the number one trending hashtag/plea to Disney on the internet right now? #GiveElsaAGirlfriend, right? Right. Who is an outspoken and known bisexual who loves to play gay? Evan Rachel Wood Bisexual, right?”

And when Elsa sings “Every inch of me is trembling, but not from the cold—show yourself, I’m dying to meet you” it’s to Evan Rachel Wood, who’s definitely playing Disney’s answer to #GiveElsaAGirlfriend, right? Right?!

    Riiiiiiiight.

    Still not over it.
