Still, she understands that proudly trumpeting one’s identity feels meaningful for many. A few days before our meeting, Sam Smith announced on Instagram that they were switching to “they/them” pronouns. “I was so moved by that,” Beanie says. “The more stories we have, both personal and fictionalized…it just adds to the effing conversation.”

Elsa not having a girlfriend and focusing on herself initially seemed good, until I read the comments on some articles and realized what was really going on. There were a lot of people saying that they could accept a single Elsa, but not a gay one. It’s the same way that you hear people say, “Why can’t they just be friends. We need more female friendships on TV,” when people talk about Supercorp or Swanqueen.
Or when they say Frozen is about sisters not any romantic relationship when a large part of it is Anna’s relationship with I want to say, the snow man?

On the one hand, PLL the Perfectionists didn’t quite live up to PLL Original Recipe but I enjoyed it and I’m kind of sad. On the other, there’s nothing Freeform can do from stopping me from writing my Alison/Mona fan fiction because they are MARRIED.

I used to read Dostoyevsky, and now whenever I tell people that I’ve been reading all day, when they ask me what I did over the weekend, I blush and quickly try to avert the topic, because I spent my days visiting the Azgeda with Lexa and Clarke.
