  1. I’m all for Batwoman but Glamour said she’s the first lesbian superhero on TV? Surely they mean first title character? Thunder, hello??

    • No, they said she’s the first “leading” lesbian superhero. Meaning her name is the title of the show and revolves around specifically her character first and foremost. People keep getting caught up over this stuff and get angry over nothing. There are other lesbian and bisexual superheroes on the CW it’s true, but this actually is a milestone of real significance.

      • My apologies. I didn’t mean to bring up this old debate and I clearly misread Glamour’s article. Kate Kane is groundbreaking and I’m eager to watch every episode. More lesbians the merrier.

  2. You were not kidding about the multimedial winking going on.
Damn, in between this and the trailer, I‘m really beginning to root for this show.

  3. Look…wait let me woo sahh for a second…okay…

Golden Girls is my #3 all time favorite sitcom. The show and it’s characters are so loved by me that I have T-shirts that I wear often and portraits of them in my office at work so I say this with every bit of kindness in my heart, DON’T F*CK WITH ITS LEGACY! PLEASE?!?!

    • I should clarify…this was directed toward Jane Lynch (who I like but…ummm) and the networks not those of you at Autostraddle.

      • I got the impression she was making a comparison, not that it was directly related to GG. Hopefully it’s good in it’s own right without treading on any coattails.
