January and February can sometimes just seem like holding cells for the new season, when things will be green and pink and orange and basically anything but dead. And while we’re all promising to be better brighter beasts, it’s so very hard daunting when things are so very grey. So do you want to pretend it’s spring with me? OK GREAT.

Ooh, I love this playlist! One song that always makes me feel like I’m made of pure awesome is Mr. Blue Sky, by ELO. It is impossible to feel bad while listening to it.

In Northampton, some of the stores have “Deep Winter” hours. I think they’re just mocking us. Thank god for yr mix.
Also, Let’s Go Surfing by the Drums makes me feel like I’m punching the sky in a very good way
ahhh. here in florida, this is the second real day of winter for us. (ie, the second cold day)
We haven’t even really HAD winter here yet. I’m not sure if I should be sad about that or just look forward to spring now with this awesome playlist. Hm.
Ani DiFranco’s Anyday has always been a very nice, arm out the open window, hand surfing in the wind, the sun is so high song for me. I think it’s that slide that she does. You know the one.
Is it winter? I tend forget here in the Bay Area where the only two seasons are 1) sunny & sorta cold and 2) sunny & warm (with a smattering of fog).
BUT for everyone else out there. I dare you to not think of warm weather and happiness after listening to this:
Glad You Came by The Wanted
Also, who wants to go to Ibiza?
i really love that washed out song “feel it all around”. it’s the portlandia themesong but the whole album is really good. also the live version of “these are days” by 10, 000 maniacs (mtv unplugged). it kindof reminds me of high school but also gives me some kindof feeling of hope for the future. i listen to it even though i know for me these are NOT the days, but i’ll have those days again sometime soon.
