Playlist: Bonnaroo Days And Nights

Since 2010, Autostraddle has been making the annual trek to Manchester, TN, for the four-day dirty hippie song and dance festival known as Bonnaroo. Executive Editor Laneia is on her way again, this time with Bonnaroo virgin and activity partner, Megan, and they are totally and absurdly amped beyond all measure. Look for more info on Autostraddle’s plans for Bonnaroo (and you!) a little later in the week, but for now let’s get you all geared up for your weekend on the farm with a couple of playlists! Even if you’re not going to Roo this year, these songs will do their best to make you feel like you’re there.

  1. I just realized that I will be in TN at this general time. Which means there is a slight chance for me to meet autostraddlers on my flight. Oh my god. This is a big deal.

I am not going to Bonnaroo (sad face) and I’ll be flying into Knoxville (not especially near Bonnaroo either)

but the very possibility is exciting

  2. I wish my broke ass could afford some Bonnaroo. Or some Wakarusa. or really any festival.

    • festivals are so expensive! i’m kind of an expert on cheap and i couldn’t really make bonnaroo cheap, but it was worth it anyway!

  3. Someday maybe, someday. As well as Bonnaroo, I also have Coachella, Burning Man, Lightning In A Bottle (http://lightninginabottle.org/), Womad (http://www.womad.org/), Sonic In Bloom (http://www.sonicbloomfestival.com/), Festival In The Desert (http://www.festival-au-desert.org) and other well known music festivals on the list, I just need people who are game in going with me. As far as festivals, I’ve only been to the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (http://www.snwmf.com/) and that was super fun! I love music, especially with a good atmosphere, where all the people are cool as fuck.

  4. i love the day playlist SO MUCH! they’re both amazing obvs but the dayyyy onnnne !!

    EXCITED.

  5. I love music festivals so fucking much. Someday I want to do a summer festival tour.

    • Seriously, that would be so fun, rent an RV and have a blast, that’s also on my to-do list with a million other things. I also want to do a foodie tour, kind of like that tv show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri, where I go all over the USA to check out really good food places, or hit a specific area of the USA, etc.
