This year for Trans Awareness Week, I wanted us to focus on recent trans history. Autostraddle itself is part of that history.

With every passing year, every passing update, this is a list begging to break out of limitations.

This is a book collection that’s used and loved, out of place and a little mismanaged — not for lack of care, but quite the opposite, due to an abundance of it. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
