Because lesbian and bisexual characters now have longer shelf lives, network TV is beginning to go beyond the same trope-tastic story arcs.

It’s a dark world, but there’s hope in stories, including lesbians on shows like “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “The Good Fight,” and “Imposters,” an epic miniseries about the LGBT rights movement and a non-binary character on “Billions.”

“My next note on this scene is, “I literally screamed in this hotel room,” which is true.”

“As someone who’s never actually been in a throuple, I do think that throuples could solve most problems on television.”

Definitely by the end of the night, if no one says, “You shouldn’t be single anymore. This isn’t working for the rest of us,” then I didn’t break up properly.

It was both the best idea and the worst idea I’ve ever had.
