Hello, and welcome to NSFW Sunday! I have no idea what’s happened on the Internet this week but in honour of Camp, here are 50 pictures of pretty girls outside.

      • C’mon AS! Put some more bois and butches on this feature. I mean, you’ve got space for 50 amazing photos – even it out a bit more. It looks like a het guy’s wet dream on here sometimes. No offense to those who do prefer femmes.

        • While I agree that there is sometimes a lack of diversity on this feature, I think you need to be careful of the things that you say. The same thing that you said about lack of butches and bois could be said for women of color, but you have to consider that the majority of the hot, naked pictures of women out there fail to represent many minority groups, both social and racial. I think the AS ladies do a great job of being inclusive with the resources they have access to.

As both a lesbian and a feminine woman, I would be incredibly upset and offended if a fellow queer lady called my naked body a “het guy’s wet dream”. I seem to not be able to find a way to NOT take offense to that comment. And since a lot of these women in these NSFW features do look queer, I bet they would take offense to that, too. Or, you know, any woman who has problems with the misogynistic qualities of our patriarchal society and who is constantly aware of how her body is ridiculed and objectified by the male species. I don’t think any self-respecting woman would want to think of her beautiful body as something men have wet dreams about.

Women shouldn’t put other women down, no matter what. It always really disappoints me when I see stuff like this in the comment section.

          • Great. So Autostraddle occasionally gives us a “special feature.” Because gender non-conforming lesbians are a special case of lesbians and not the default kind, like you are.

I’m glad you set me straight on that.

I have no problem with feminine lesbians. I just wish I could see a representative number of pictures of people who look like me on a website that’s supposed to be for people like me. I want to see content for me in context that’s not “special stuff for not-normal special people who are special and not normal.”

And I’m offended that anyone would want me to expect anything less.

          • I’d like to add that I wrote Autostraddle about this months ago and their response was, “Of course we like butches! We date them!” Which should pretty much illustrate the problem for you right there.

I’d also like to point out that a post written about masculine fashion by a femme that says stuff like, “I like it when my butch girlfriend wears x” is still femme-centered content.

They expressed a commitment to fixing the problem, but every time I open yet another NSFW Sunday and see yet another 48 women in high heels and red lipstick, I wonder if they actually understand the problem at all.

It’s like they’re saying, “This is what hot lesbians look like. You are not one. You do not exist except when we want to look at you. Go away.”

            I think I can take a hint.
