“[S]urrender allows you to tune out neuroticism and tune in to your true desires. Many of us resist it because we’re deathly afraid of showing up and feeling seen and heard by someone who actually cares. Plus it’s just easier to stay in your head than it is to be present and feel exactly how flawed and fragile you are. But when you’re keeping your partner at arm’s length — and this can happen, off and on, throughout the course of a long relationship — nothing bridges the gap between you, sometimes, like saying to yourself and to the other person, ‘I’m flawed and fragile. I’m afraid and I want to turn away from you. But I’m here.'”

  • You can avoid toxic sex toys by buying toys made of medical-grade silicone, ABS plastic, glass, metal, wood and ceramics; making sure it’s possible to clean all parts of the toy to which your body is exposed; and making sure anal toys have wide enough bases to be safe (usually at least an inch wider than the diameter of the toy).

  • You don’t need to be totally obsessed with the object of your affection to have a healthy relationship (in fact, you should be the opposite) and it’s fucked up that pop culture depictions of love suggest otherwise.

+ Killing net neutrality could kill independent porn, writes Claire Lampen:

“The end of net neutrality means ‘the end of ethical porn,’ Lust said, and ‘the monopoly of punish-fucking.’ But ethical pornographers aren’t the only ones who get fucked. A non-neutral net would award ISPs the prerogative to decide what kind of content is available online, leaving them vulnerable to pressure from political and special interest groups, Singel said. That opens the door to censorship, arguably the worst outcome for indie creators whose adult narratives don’t conform to heteronormative gender roles.”

    1. The photos last week were amazing…and this week somehow they’re even hotter and more beautiful. They’re radiating so much joy and love and power.

    2. These articles are very interesting. They really cover the rainbow from celibacy to dating yourself, dating lots of other people, or simply dating… people of all sorts !

I liked that there were two points of view on the 30-day orgasm thingy, which I’ve tried a few times and found very stimulating though I’ve yet to go all the way.
My approach doesn’t involve a rigid program, but I was never into stiff regimens to begin with. I just go where the vibe takes me.
