No Filter: Even Kehlani Is Obsessed with Are You The One?

My darlings, once a week we gather here to examine the week in queer social media, and as we prepare for our weekly Teddy Geiger-induced heart attack, may we take a moment to appreciate the extreme thirst of suddenly single Miley Cyrus? I refuse to learn this other woman’s name or what she looks like and I don’t think this relationship is like, real? But I also am entertained as heck and hope they keep this up for at least a few more weeks.

As you were.

None of us deserve the iconic, ageless Angela Bassett, ruler of my heart, burner of cars, she for whomst I wait to exhale. The closest anyone has ever come is Lena Waithe.

Teddy Geiger is so, so invested in making sure her feet are in her thirst traps! In this essay I will

Small dogs everywhere are obsessed with BBQ Dad Brittani Nichols, but this guy in particular is Duncan, son of Lauren Morelli.

My friend and yours Gaby Dunn started watching Are You The One? this week and she is NOT OKAY. That said, it took her less than 20 minutes to decide she was ready to stan Remy, so at least we know she’s still of sound mind.

  1. Angela Bassett was my 4th and final (and much needed) sexual awakening into gay-dom despite her being 30 years my senior.

Is it weird that said awakening always entailed me wanting her to domin… never mind that’s TMI.

  2. So long as we’re talking Carrie Brownstein, can we take a moment to publicly acknowledge how awesome the new Sleater-Kinney album is? Ugh, I love it. So dark and sexy at the same time (same reason I love PJ Harvey and St. Vincent, I suppose). As a person pushing forty, I appreciate that a group of middle-aged women put out something so frankly sexual.

  3. Why would anyone stan Remy? He’s creepy controlling. He’s so Type A that he tries to break up conversations between 2 people, just because the Truth Booth said they weren’t a perfect match. Dude, it’s none of your business of two other people want to have a conversation. It doesn’t involve you.

He’s sweet and patient with Paige, but to me it smells like he’s decided he’s obsessed with her, and is just trying to win her over. I’m sad he gets so much camera time. There are other people in the house I’d rather learn more about.

    • I ship Remy and Kai – they kind of deserve each other, it’d be way better for the rest of the house if they’re both out of the dating pool and I actually think they could be good for each other.
