No Filter: Celebrities Are Staying Inside With Dogs, Cats, Muffins, Masks, Pianos, Influencer Memoirs and More!

Hello my friends! Welcome to No Filter, the column where I show you what gay Instagram is up to, as you can imagine, this week features a lot of interiors! Let’s go!

Dare I say Drag Queen Cameos are, in fact, self care?

Taking 1,000 photos of your cat during these times? Relatable.

Baking inspiration is lovely to see! I am tackling bread this week, myself.

What should Gigi read and watch?? These are desperate times!

I simply MUST upgrade my loungewear.

I started when I was 6 years old, played until 18. I remember a couple songs by heart. My moms favorites, Pachelbel Canon in D and Moonlight Sonata no.14. Recitals made me nervous, practicing made me anxious, just playing made me happy. Adulting, traveling, and working in restaurants consumed my life. Bianca bought me a keyboard for my hotel room in Austin a year ago while getting @arlogreyaustin up and running (I lived in the hotel for 2 years during that process). Some random belongings and the piano I learned on still lives in my storage unit in Boston. The keyboard is simpler to move about, so now it sits in our NYC home. The 17 year excuse as to why I didn’t play any more was always, I’m never home and I’m too busy. Well…that doesn’t hold entirely true right now. The song she sings around the house has been “Let it Be”, so now I play it for her. It’s not perfect (yet) but I’m finding the charm in practicing on a rainy day ❤️

What a BLESSING dogs are in these times.

Any other time, these photos would be very concerning? Now, I’m just like, “yep. that tracks, nothing to see here.”

I live with two contractors, I can confirm these masks appear more often than I ever thought they would.

We have a “sanitize at the door” protocol for after we return home from grabbing essentials. We are immunocompromised. We are not taking this lightly. We were self quarantined as soon as the first case of #covid_19 hit LA. Here’s our protocol. 1. Take off shoes 2. Sanitize all groceries and other items with Lysol wipes at the door (including amazon delivered items) 2. Strip down to undies 3. Wash hands thoroughly 4. Put groceries away 5. Put outside clothes into washing machine 6. Shower thoroughly with tea tree body soap 7. Take care of medical stuff (pills, supplements, anti inflammatory salves) 8. Put on fresh, clean clothes 9. Kiss the love of my life. 10. Make sure we’re fed and hydrated We’re also making sure we cook all veggies and skin all fruit before we eat them. If you think you or your family/roommate is doing the most, follow suit. Do the most to protect yourselves and your loved ones. This virus is getting so close to home that someone we know has tested positive. This is not a joke. This is not a false alarm. This is not an overreaction. This is real life. People are dying. Be safe. Stay home. . #selfquarantine #selfcare #selflove #stayhome #stayhealthy #staystrong #covid #corona #pandemic
