Holigay Playlist: Having a Blue Christmas

holigays-2014-banner

Sometimes, the holigays aren’t about joy overflowing out of your elf ears. Sometimes, they’re stressful and awful and straight-up sad. And sometimes, you just get a little bit tired of the most wonderful time of the year.

In these moments, you don’t have to abandon all things holiday to get your fix of mellow and melancholy music to ease your emotional pain. Instead, you can actually just subvert the whole damn season by putting this playlist on.

  1. My oblivious mother has already mentioned that I need to meet a nice straight boy (referring to my largely queer group of friends). This playlist is needed. By me.

    • Listening to my own mother talk about how disgusting the homosexuals are. Cheers! And this playlist is the best!

  2. Oh this is the perfect soundtrack for bereaved ugly crying and that feeling of I don’t fit in with these people so I skipped the after funeral get together to make sad sounds in the bathtub, but I still want to eat/make gingerbread, share baked goods with them and I am wearing my holiday shirt of power.

  3. Excellent excellent excellent playlist. Thank-you, and I hope you’re having a great Christmas. xx
