so i’m currently reading dostoevsky’s ‘the idiot’….i had started anna karenina earlier in the summer but i misplaced it before i got too far.

also, if either of you have suggestions as to what books you would consider to be more essential to read, that could be useful. i’m a fairly quick reader, but it’s not like these books really can be a quick read, and i don’t want to burn out on this russian lit kick too fast (i do that often enough with some of the random ideas i have).

Has anyone read anything by Alexandra Kollontai? She was one of the leading women in the Bolsheviks and in the early communist government who also doubled as a novelist. I have her Love Of Worker Bees and it’s on my to-read list.
