If yer feelin’ fancy, downloading an IRC client can be a good option (more customization: fonts, sounds, notifications, etc). Lots of people use mIRC, but there are tons of options, and we’d be happy to help you figure any of them out. There are also lots of IRC apps for your cellular device. TurboIRC on iOS is pretty good. Not sure for android.
