Women’s bars were not the most comfortable for me when I was younger and they actually existed : wrong music, heavy cigarette smoke, and the women were intimidating af for my baby gay heart, but, I sure could use a safe space now ! Somewhere I could just hang out whenever I want. Right now I join in a roaming Happy Hour, which has its own particular charm I must say. It makes me realize what’s important, regardless of the space : it’s the women !
