Listen to Dirty Rock & Roll Throwbacks

Laneia’s Team Pick:

If you need a playlist to get you in the mood for putting dents in the world this weekend, Bonnaroo’s Dirty Rock & Roll Throwbacks is a good place to start. It includes such Autostraddle favorites as the Dead Weather, Portugal the Man, The Strokes When They Didn’t Suck and YYY!

I think Bonnaroo is contractually obligated to only talk about bands that have already played the festival, so there are plenty of great songs missing from this playlist. You should add them in the comments!

In related news, I’m already counting down the days and stocking up on sunblock for Bonnaroo 2012 because I LOVE IT SO. Really this was just an excuse to talk about Bonnaroo I think.

let's go here please

Autostraddle cannot exist without the generous support of our readers. We need to raise $175k in the next 2 weeks — or we won't make it to Pride. And a world without Autostraddle would be a loss on so many levels. Help us keep this indie queer media boat afloat! Every dollar helps.

  1. Bonnaroo was amazing as always! This year was my fifth consecutive year and was definitely among the best…. (2007 with TOOL, is still at the top, especially because there were less people.

Anyways… I always look for an excuse to talk about Bonnaroo, so I am happy this article made its way in to the site, enabling me to revisit my fondest memories all over again.

    BONNAROOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
