LIVESTREAM: Celesbian-Studded Online Telethon For Abortion Access In Texas Starts NOW

Sarah Silverman and Lizz Winstead teamed up with the New York Abortion Access Fund and NARAL Pro-Choice America to host Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can Choose — a modern day online telethon to benefit Texas abortion funds that provide financial assistance, support and resources for Texans seeking abortion care, especially after laws have become so restrictive to access. Telethons still exist, you ask? Apparently they still do, but this one is pretty cool, I promise.

Silverman and Winstead are hosting the event live in New York right now, but you can join the party too by watching it online.  They will be joined by special guests throughout the night including some cast members from Orange is the New Black like Natasha Lyonne, Lea DeLaria, Dascha Polanco, Yael Stone and Jessica Pimentel, also Holly Miranda, Kate Moenning, Alexa Chung, Amy Schumer, Emily Mortimer, Jemima Kirke, Kathy Najimy, Tennessee Thomas, Ambrosia Parsley, Alysia Reiner, Zoe Kazan, Sally Kohn, Anthea Butler, Phoebe Robinson, Sarah Sophie Flicker and so many more.

So expect musical performances, laughs, lots of fun and an amazing list of special guests.

The event will benefit The The Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity, Texas Equal Access Fund, Whole Woman’s Health, and Fund Texas Women.

  1. Anyone know the name of the two women who sang around 8:45? I loved it and would like to hear more of them.

  2. Lesley Gore singing You Don’t Own Me, Lea DeLaria telling people that if they didn’t donate they could eat her asshole and Kate Moennig being cute answering phones have been the highlights of this event. And possibly life.
