Brittani’s Video Party: Stooshe Puts On Make-Up While Eating Cheerios

Greetings. This is Brittani’s Video Party, where I bring some of the “best” videos from all over my internet together so we can clap, cry or deconstruct. Have you ever gotten to a video and it already has 33 million views and you wonder where the heck have you been? Well I’m here to help you so that you see it when it only has 32 million views. Aim low, world. Aim low.

Stooshe is a British girl group from London that happens to have two queer members, Karis Anderson and Courtney Rumbold. It’s a QPOC doing music things! It’s like a unicorn everyone claims doesn’t exists but then that unicorn shits on your lawn in hopes that you’ll acknowledge them or support them in some way but you’d rather just let their poop sit there as if it’s manure because then you would have to admit that they exist, when really you just don’t pick up their poop. Now that’s what I call a confusing metaphor. Here’s the video for their song “Slip.”

As I’m sure you know, there was a Cheerios commercial that caused a big whoop because there was an interracial couple and their curly-haired offspring. Well if (stupid) people thought that was bad, wait until they see this intergaycial response video.

I’m not sure if people know this but make-up tutorials are a HUGE deal on YouTube. They get mad hits because people like putting things on their faces I suppose. I do too but the things I like putting on my face can’t be purchased in a store (hey-o!). Anyway, this genius parody is a feminist make-up tutorial.

Thingstarter is a series of parody Kickstarter videos. This one is for the fake app, iNotRacist which is far and away the best fake app I’ve ever seen. It’s a social media app that gives you credit for all the not racist things you do throughout the day so you can have concrete proof (and points!) to prove how not racist you are.

If you have a video you think everyone should see, tweet it to @bishilarious for consideration. And of course feel free to post your favorite videos from the week below.

  1. That feminist makeup tutorial is basically my favorite thing. The user has another video about math that speaks to me as a liberal arts graduate.

  2. Stooshe is awesome, thanks for introducing me to the group. I just saw their cover (music video) of “waterfalls” by TLC. Chili and T boz actually made a cameo appearance in it, and I then died.

  3. Courtney Rumbold’s hair > Miley’s hair
    There I said it!

Also I giggled every time he said “I not racist”
    I am so easily amused.

  4. inotracist KILLED me I am still laughing. All the subtle things in the background, the way he pronounces “African-American,” “I’m not really into white girls…”

  5. that make up tutorial is outstanding. it even made our shitty, patchy $50 internet connection seem worth it.
