Brittani’s Video Party: Naya Rivera and Hannah Hart Have Drama

Greetings. This is Brittani’s Video Party, where I bring some of the “best” videos from all over my internet together so we can clap, cry or deconstruct. Have you ever gotten to a video and it already has 33 million views and you wonder where the heck have you been? Well I’m here to help you so that you see it when it only has 32 million views. Aim low, world. Aim low.

Anyone But Me’s Tina Cesa Ward and Rachael Hip-Flores have teamed up again for Producing Juliet. When Rebecca meets kindred spirit Juliet, a playwright struggling to get her sophomore effort produced, Rebecca shifts her focus from her tenuous and open relationship with her actress girlfriend to producing Juliet’s new play.

This lesbian short film is about “two girls, first love, superglue, and Robert Frost.” Practical Things is a selection for the Seattle Lesbian and Gay Film Festival as well as the Tacoma Film Festival.

Naya Rivera released a lyric video for her first single, “Sorry,” featuring her beau Big Sean. I’m sure you’re curious to see just how much Rivera intends to separate her style from Santana’s but you should be more curious to see this video since the lyrics are projected onto women’s bodies.

Hannah Hart was at A-Camp and she gave the camp version of a TED talk on the different love languages. I’d never heard of them before. I came away feeling like none of them and all of them apply to me. I think I’m needy.

If you have a video you think everyone should see, tweet it to @bishilarious for consideration. And of course feel free to post your favorite videos from the week below.

  1. “Producing Juliet” hooked me immediately…the episode finished way too soon! excited to have something new to follow, thanks.

  2. I was skeptical to this love languages self-help book thing but I have to say that it worked wonders in our relationship

  3. All of these videos are amazing. I really loved Hannah’s CAMP talk, I had heard of the love languages before, so it was a great reminder and the way she presented it was super relateable and funny.

  4. I love the 5 love languages book! I was also skeptical about a self help type book. However, it explains so much about relationships and it really makes a lot of sense. Even though I already knew them, having Hannah explain them was great.

  5. Producing Juliet seems quite promising! But I will herein ask the abominable fan question; Brittani, when is the next WWG episode coming out? Every time I read “Brittani’s Video Party” my heart jumps in excitement thinking that here it will come again! Just realized that only one month has passed, but still, when? When? That’s perhaps my love language, when? : )

  6. 1 – awkward, but I like the woman playing Juliet. She reminds me of Allison Scagliotti.

    2 – super adorable.

3 – ugh, I just can’t get into R&B. This song reminds me of Shoshana Bean’s music, which I tried so hard to like but it’s just not my thing. I don’t connect with it.

4 – I heard about that book years ago. I’m mostly a service and quality time gal, and touch, but only when I’m really comfortable (so, in love, lol) with the person.

  7. That book Hannah Hart is talking about is my mom’s favorite thing to tell me about when my relationships are rocky. And even after years of her telling me about it, and me asking where it is on her bookshelf so I can borrow it, I have still yet to go in and actually grab it so I can read it. Although… that doesn’t stop me from telling people about the existence of the book and how much it could help various relationships. I swear I’ll read it eventually…

Also, I’m really happy to be seeing Rachael Hip-Flores again.

  8. my roommate junior year gave me the language of love book! but i couldn’t bring myself to read it because it looked so hokey…i’m really glad i have hannah hart to break it down for me real-talk style.
