Brittani’s Video Party: Marcel the Shell is Seriously Distracted by Faking It

There’s a new Marcel the Shell with Shoes On video which I’m sure is to help push the book, “The Most Surprised I’ve Ever Been.” Marcel is voiced by Jenny Slate and if you don’t love her, you’re not welcome here. I have a feeling Marcel and Tiny Pineapple would get along really well and I look forward to a crossover episode.

Seriously Distracted is a new webseries from Above Average. I THINK one of the characters is queer (because of a single line in Episode 2) so I think I’ll have to keep watching to find out if this is true BECAUSE IT MATTERS. The series will sometimes star Amy Sedaris and Episode One, “The Nightmare Client,” has Kimiko Glenn from Orange is the New Black.

Forgive me but I’ve just now seen the Mary Lambert video for “Secrets” and as far as I can tell, it hasn’t been on this here website yet though the behind the scenes video has made an appearance. I like the song and video and you all like Mary Lambert and so we’ll all enjoy this experience I think.

Rita Volk and Michael Willett did a quick interview with GLAAD about Faking It in which Volk gave her take on the, “Is Amy bisexual?” question of it all which seems to be a preoccupation for fans of the show because of both the way we’re seeing her arrive at this conclusion (should it be the conclusion) and because of previous remarks made by those involved with the creation of the show. Either way, it’s a short, thoughtful interview and Volk looks pretty “in character” with that one elbow on the back of the chair and leaning forward if ya catch my drift.

  2. I think I’d feel more comfortable with the “Questioning” route that Amy’s character is undergoing on Faking It if it wasn’t caused by Liam Fucking Booker. Rita answering that question came across to me as “Well, looks like Amy won’t be a lesbian like I wanted her to be after all because the writers begged to differ.” Maybe I’m just projecting A LOT?

  3. OMG I can relate to Marcel so much at 2:19 with my clumsy moments.
    “I’m fine… just embarrassed… can’t we just please move on?”
    That was the most adorable thing I’ve seen all day.

    And of course, Mary Lambert was adorable too, but her coffee shop She Keeps Me Warm video is still the best.
