Brittani’s Video Party: Aubrey Plaza Watches The Office with Calvin and Hobbes on the Death Star

Greetings. This is Brittani’s Video Party, where I bring some of the “best” videos from all over my internet together so we can clap, cry or deconstruct. Have you ever gotten to a video and it already has 33 million views and you wonder where the heck have you been? Well I’m here to help you so that you see it when it only has 32 million views. Aim low, world. Aim low.

Marisa Tomei and Elodie Bouchez play a divorcing couple attempting to divide their possessions through mediation and Aubrey Plaza finally plays a queer lady in this Funny or Die short. Has Plaza played gay before? I feel like she hasn’t but will many more times in her career. Wishful thinking perhaps but I know I’m not alone.

If you are one of those people that prefers the original Office to the American one and lets everyone know how superior you are because of it then you might appreciate the return of Brent. If you prefer Michael Scott then maybe you should just watch the “Equality Street” music video and see how you feel.

People are really into Calvin and Hobbes. I’m not making that up, right? Well someone decided to animate one of their more famous strips. You might think this is awesome. You might think this is a bastardization. Won’t know unless you watch though.

It’s March Madness. If you like college basketball then, you know, duh. If you don’t, then you probably think it just some nifty alliteration you can use whenever anything crazy happens to you throughout the month. Regardless of your basketball feelings, your Star Wars feeling will be the guiding force in this video. Get it? Force. Anyway, this is March Madness explained using Star Wars.

If you have a video you think everyone should see, tweet it to @bishilarious for consideration. And of course feel free to post your favorite videos from the week below.

    • Well, your friend Adam is awesome. Make sure to tell him that :)
Calvin and Hobbes are perfect for those rainy days when all you want to do is stay in bed, eating chocolate and being lazy. Or for those days when you’re sad and miserable and you want something to make you smile…
Whether you’re sad or happy, Calvin and Hobbes will always make things better :3

  1. I think Aubrey’s character here is “Shane, as if Shane was dared to flirt with someone, while impersonating April Ludgate.”

  2. I need more animated Calvin and Hobbes, that was perfection. Also, I love anything that lets me imagine Aubrey Plaza is gay.

  3. If you want to check out another funny video and/or help out a kid trying to pay for college, then follow this link: http://meetmycollege.com/VideoContest/VideoDetails/202 and vote for my video!
You do have to register to vote, but it takes approximately two minutes and can help me win potentially 10,000 dollars!
Thanks in advance, beautiful people of Autostraddle!

  4. It’s unfortunate that first video got added to Funny or Die. It isn’t overstated funny like most of that website. The video was created to coincide with some sort of fashion release. I highly recommend it on Vimeo, in HD.
