Brittani’s Video Party: Adult Children of Divorce Write a Show for Kristin Chenoweth

Greetings. This is Brittani’s Video Party, where I bring some of the “best” videos from all over my internet together so we can clap, cry or deconstruct. Have you ever gotten to a video and it already has 33 million views and you wonder where the heck have you been? Well I’m here to help you so that you see it when it only has 32 million views. Aim low, world. Aim low.

If you’re no fan of the Parks and Rec coupling of Adam Scott and Amy Poehler, maybe this movie that has him playing her stepson will comfort you. Unless you truly enjoy that couple, then it will be disturbing. A.C.O.D. is about adult children of divorce. Are you one of those? I am. So is Jessica Alba. In this movie at least, no clue about her real life sitch. There’s are other white people you probably like including  Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jane Lynch, Clark Duke, Catherine O’hara, and Richard Jenkins.

What would happen if you put television’s best writers in one room and had them create a show? Nothing worth watching according to this animation by Leigh Lahav. Poor Dan Harmon.

Kristin Chenoweth picked a random audience member to sing the Wicked song, “For Good” during a recent performance. This seems like a large risk so I’m guessing she hasn’t seen this video. Everything ended up being ok. Actually it was a lot more than ok since the woman she picked is a voice teacher. So shocking was her incredible voice that the conductor turned around. People can be really great when they’re not really shitty. Modern wisdom from me to you.

If you have a video you think everyone should see, tweet it to @bishilarious for consideration. And of course feel free to post your favorite videos from the week below.

  1. LOL… I was just watching that Kristin Chenoweth video and moved from that to this page. It has over 2.5 million views already! (the main one that is from a bit further back)

  2. “So I say we get the audience really emotionally invested, make them fall in love with the characters… and then KILL THEM ALL HORRIBLY.”

Too true. One time I told someone that I was a big Whedon fan, and they replied, “So basically you like to cry, huh?” Apparently I do.

  3. All three of these videos were awesome, thanks! I especially loved the Kristin Chenoweth duet.. just when i think i like Kristin, I discover i f*ckin love her!!

  4. My heart hurts so much now thanks to the last video. I was supposed to be doing homework but now I’m just sitting here trying not to become a blubbery mess. And it had to be that song, too.
