  1. I need y’all to settle something. Was Aaliyah Boston shooting her shot with old-ass, married-ass with two kids having-ass Candace Parker, or was it just a fangirl moment? Or both? Her body language in the above clip suggests it was both.

  2. i thought the article about sally wainwright kind of missed the mark by using the language of lesbians having certain personality traits instead of talking about (some) lesbians having a certain culture. not all queer people are culturally queer, but i think for the characters who are it makes sense for the writers to be at least very familiar with that culture and ideally a part of it. on the other hand, i don’t see any reason why a character who isn’t visibly queer and doesn’t have a lot of queer friends or investment in queer community would need to be written by a queer person

  3. Just want to give an enthusiastic plug for Everything Everywhere All At Once, which I found alternately hilarious, poignant, imaginative, and thrilling. The daughter’s queer relationship does not get a ton of screen time, but that queer character is central to the plot and holds her own alongside Michelle Yeoh (no small feat!).

  4. Quote:”Just look at Ryan Murphy promoting great stories about gay men. Where is his female counterpart? (I’ll tell you where she is, she’s in the closet)” Can somebody guess who that could be(who that
    person in the closet is)?

cause I have no idea, and I consider myself a film nerd…

Its from the guardian article about straight women writing/ directing lesbian stories.

  5. I might have missed it, but will you guys be recapping the back half of season 2 of The Owl House? The first few episodes are out, and Dana Terrace has been pretty vocal about all the BS at Disney they’ve been facing
