Bex Taylor-Klaus and Alicia Sixtos Got Queer Married, Good Things Do Still Happen!

Bex Taylor-Klaus, the non-binary actor you know from playing every non-binary character on broadcast network TV, and Alicia Marie Sixtos, who you know as Carmen from The Fosters and Maya from East Los High GOT QUEER MARRIED! I didn’t even know they were dating! But they were! And listen to this: They both thought love was a lie until they met each other.

Okay, not exactly that — neither of them ever thought they’d get married until they met each other, but look at them now. TOO ADORABLE TO FUNCTION.

Yeah, that’s right, that’s their dog at their wedding. Duggie! Duggie the dog at the wedding!

There’s more!

And more!

Both Bex and Alicia made their wedding photos their Insta profile photos, which has truly made my day, along with this news. Things seem so hard and dark and scary right now, and sometimes the news is such a relentless avalanche of terribleness it feels like nothing good’s going to happen again. But then, queers are out here getting married ’cause they’re finding hope in horrible times. I love that. I love us.

Congratulations, you two!

  1. Wow! I can see the love between them so clearly in these photos. This makes me so happy (even though I don’t know anything about either of them, except what’s in this article). Thank you Heather for posting this beacon of hope today.

  2. feeling real sad about being dumped and i see people being happy and i want to throw things at a wall. love is a lie! never forget that-whenever i see celebrities get gay married i’m like you know you can also get gay divorced right??? every married couple has no idea that divorce happens to married people. anyways happy wednesday

  3. Cool! Good for them! I think Alicia Sixto’s Carmen was the character on The Fosters that I wanted Mariana to date, but I’m not sure because it’s been a long time since I watched the show.

  4. I’ve been following this one Bex’s Instagram stories, and it really looks like the cutest, queerest, outdoor marriage celebration one could hope for! They had some of my favorite Jewish wedding traditions too–a Chuppah, and the stomped glass, and hopefully some chair lifting off-camera. They’re so adorable, and I wish them every happiness.
