The Great Library of Autostraddle 12 years ago I actually have a nightstand next to me and there are of course books, so I guess I’ll start out by answering that most basic and complex question: What’s on your nightstand?
Siddhartha [Herman Hesse], The Hangman’s Daughter [Oliver Pötzsch], Out [Natsuo Kirino], Where Angels Fear to Tread [Thomas E. Sniegoski], Labyrinth [Kate Mosse], The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake [Aimee Bender], and The Monster of Florence [Douglas Preston with Mario Spezi].
Glad to join!
Vanishing point (David Markson), The Autobiography of Red (Anne Carson), A Room of One’s Own (Woolf), Spiral Bound (Dessa) and Ode Less Traveled (Stephen Fry).
I loved Siddartha, Hesse is a beast and Steppenwolf is worth a go as well.
