Ok so I’m talking to an AF recruiter on Monday and I’m freaking out. I’d rather *not* enlist, and instead wait until my degree is finished and then join up as an officer, but I guess we’ll see what the guy says. The only lesbian I know in the military is super closeted and rather dislikes me SO I’m wondering if anybody might send some advice my way?? I come from a military family but all the women in it that are in the military I don’t think are very honest with me about what exactly it was like for them.
Well, how do you feel about joining? I was thinking about finishing my degree as well, but with the circumstances I was under, I chose to enlist. Ask yourself why you’d want to be part of the service and weigh your pros and cons. If you have anything else you wanna ask, let me know! I’m Navy so I’m not too sure how Air Force is so hopefully we have an Airman notice this.
It depends on what your degree is in, because they’re really picky about which degrees they’ll let you commission with. I sent you a PM, and I’d be happy to answer any questions you have :)
