Meet where and what time? I think that’s the week the Web Visions conference is going on, so not sure if I’d make it.

in summer: park blocks, bakeries/cafes/restaurants, saturday markets, cup & saucer (sometimes I go and then go again the next day… too much?), powell’s, first/last thursday, various parks, walks, etc.

The only thing I can find is a calendar listing on FabPDX. Apparently they meet at Taco Del Mar, (438 SE MLK, Portland), at around 6ish?
I’d love to go sometime, but I have to wait till june for rugby season to end.

I hope this is still a thing, but beware the listings on their site; sometimes they are REALLY, REALLY out of date. I showed up for something that was supposed to be a monthly dance party once, thanks to their website, only to discover that it had stopped 8 months ago. :(

Yeah, a lot of the PDX queer sites are kind of like that, I think. If we all met up to go to it, then if they didn’t exist anymore, we could still go! :)

biology nerd here \o/
Computing student here. Unfortunately thats like a 1-10 ratio of girls to guys, D’OH. But I really love programming and will be working in probably software or games someday hopefully
Oceanography and marine biology! Delaying grad school by raising larval sea animals in an aquarium.
I’m also in Civil Engineering! But I’m hoping to go into the construction management side.
Biology nerd, I’m just now watching a documentary on Darwins life. I keep refering to him as Dazza to my flatmate, because we’re besties me and Dazza.
My nerd passions are diverse! Currently I’m just beginning to get into programming. I only know one language but I’m in the process of learning more. I don’t know how useful that is without practicing and becoming more computer-fluent in general. Do any of you more experienced nerds have tips/resources/activities to recommend?
I’m an IT support and Web Developer for work but my nerdiness extends to pop culture as well. I love good sciFi especially (BSG, Firefly, STTNG, Ursula LeGuin, Samuel Delany just to start)…
