Doctor Whovians 12 years, 5 months agoThe dang Reply button isn’t working for me :(
@Emma2 – For me, it’s not that Ten had more gravitas, it’s that he had more angst. And way more shoutiness. I dunno, I guess that could count as gravitas, but it seemed like he was still healing from what he had to do during the Time War. Nine was super Survivor-Guilt-PTSD Guy, Ten was healed a bit…[Read more]-
I’ve come to love eleven, but ten was my first so my heart belongs to him! :P

It’s true you never forget your first Doctor! Oh, Nine. How I miss you.

Ten was definitely my favorite, but Eleven is growing on me. It does help that his companion is so lovely.
-
Amy Pond is definitely cool (like bowties!!), but I really loved it when Ten and Donna clashed, they were an interesting pair.

Catherine Tate is brilliant, I agree. This clip is the best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxB1gB6K-2A

Doctor Whovians 12 years, 5 months ago@romana – Yes, I love Mary Tamm too! I love Lalla Ward too, but Mary Tamm just had this great imperiousness to her. Doctor Whovians 12 years, 5 months agoI’ve been thinking about the difference between the last doctor and this one, and it seems like Ten had a lot more gravitas, like, “I’m the Doctor, you’d better back the fuck up”. Whereas Eleven seems more unsure and more like a newbie. There isn’t much ‘fire and ice and rage, the night and the storm in the heart of the sun’ in the new Doctor. Discuss.

Science Fictional 12 years, 5 months agoFor some reason I can’t reply to Nomi’s update! I don’t know why. Here is what I’ve been trying to post for the past few minutes though: I’ve read things by all of these authors, except CJ Cherryh. I have VERY strong feelings (two shelves of my bookcase worth!) about Isaac Asimov. I saw a guy at the movie theater last night who looked just like N…[Read more]
