Tarot School 8 years, 11 months agoHey guys,
The latest tarot post just went up here: http://www.autostraddle.com/fools-journey-understanding-the-tarot-court-cards-257068/#comment-419646
…it’s about understanding the court cards!
I wondered if any of you have a special way of reading these cards, or if there’s a king, queen, page or knight that you feel represents you?-
I’ve always preferred, as you suggested, reading court cards as an aspect of personality. I also like to think of them as an “active force.” Something that is actually moving and being interacted with in the person’s life. Anything that could be given intention or motivation of its own. So, that force could be a personality aspect, could be an…[Read more]

Oooh, I really like that idea – and it makes perfect sense.

I’ve meen MIA from this site and many life things for a while now. I recently pulled out my deck for the first time in a while to do a three card reading: situation, do, don’t do. The ‘don’t do’ was a court. I don’t seem to have a problem with pages and knights but queens and kings trip me up.

Genderstraddlers 8 years, 11 months agoGood morning, everyone! Does anyone know of any retailers who cater to trans women specifically? I know that places like crossdresser.com are trans friendly. I’ve heard of Chrysalis lingerie as well. I guess for the most part I really just shop in the ladies’ department in a department store or clothing store. I am working to put together a…[Read more]

Thrift shops are a great place to find clothes for me, and, at least in my experience, a lot of them are very trans-friendly. C:

For larger sized shoes, certain Payless stores will go up to a Women’s size 14, but I highly recommend Zappos.com for larger Women’s shoe sizes. I can always find 13s there. Uniqlo has pretty gender neutral cuts for pants in the mens department if inseam length is a problem

Genderstraddlers 8 years, 11 months agoSo I recently changed my gender identity, or the label, really. I used to identify as genderfluid, but i feel like a boy more times than not. after doing some digging, I have found the term magiboy and its magic to my ears. Means that I identify primarily as a boy but that theres a part of me that is something else. I’m still not sure what that…[Read more]

Genderstraddlers 8 years, 11 months agoHi, I hope it’s okay to post this ramble here. I’m interested in getting other people’s opinions. So. I was in a supermarket when a person caught my eye. They were super attractive imo, but I couldn’t tell if they are cismale, trans or a butch loving ciswoman(or anything else really). This in itself isn’t a problem except i know that if they did…[Read more]

i don’t really understand why you don’t think they’d be attractive? if you were drawn to them before then why wouldn’t you be after you know their gender? is it whats in the pants that scares you?
-
If you’d find trans men sexually attractive or consider them potential sexual partners but not cis men, you should interrogate the reason behind that. Especially if the reverse is also true and you find cis women sexually attractive/consider them to be potential sexual partners but not trans women.
I’m a bisexual non binary woman-ish person. I…[Read more]

Thanks. I think that’s what I’m talking about. Like I’m vaguely aware that I think I have these preferences but they probably stem from a bit of a place im not proud of. So I’m going to think about it a bit more. Because I don’t want to disrespect anyone’s gender identity. That’s super shitty. But I don’t think i can control inside feelings. Mmm.…[Read more]

Genderstraddlers 9 years agoA coworker shared an article with me today from the Wall Street Journal: Heather Has Two Genders. I found Meghan Cox Gurdon’s opinion piece to be troubling at best, outright offensive at worst.
Near the beginning she starts to offend with the use of the term “sexual dysphoria.” The accepted term is “gender dysphoria.” Using the term sexual…[Read more]
