The parents are the tricky ones. All of my close friends know but I’m too afraid to tell my parents. They’re christian (dad more so than mom) and I’m afraid I’ll become their family secret that they’ll ignore or not acknowledge my sexuality to the rest of the family. Its like there’s never a good time to tell them. I’ve told myself that they must know before New Years. Just because I’m tired of hiding it from them.
