Hello lovelies…does anyone know of a hair salon in the Boston area that does good alternative lifestyle cuts? Mine is short and I want to avoid having it look too matronly. Or matronly at all, actually. And cheaper is better. Thank you!

Ooh ooh! Liquid Hair Studios, on Tremont Street. They’re super great with short hair, and all-around awesome people. Plus they have a wax bust of Elvis in the bathroom, so there’s something.

I know this is a little late, but I’ve heard great things about Station 8 in Jamaica Plain. And the folks there are pretty queer. I’ve also had a good cut at Miss Laura’s, also in JP.
