Ouuu welcome in advance! I haven’t moved there yet myself, so I lack any real advice for you I’m afraid, but I wanted to say hello. Hopefully someone will be able to help out!

UBC has a beautiful campus. I didn’t live on campus, but I’ve heard that Green College is very nice. The West end/Davie Street is most definitely queer friendly. The Drive is as well. You’ll tend to find a more relaxed hippie vibe on Commercial Drive than on Davie. Usually more women/female-identified queers on the Drive as well.
