Not a NYC inhabitant but my sister is – and I’m coming up for a visit this week. Crashing in the Murray Hill / PCV area. Aside from welcoming advice re: restaurants/bars/clubs, I’d love to find a funky little cafe or coffee shop for work during the day… suggestions?!

Saw Thao and Mirah at the Cedar Cultural Center last night and it was absolutely amazing. I love them and that place. Was anyone else there? Does anyone else know of them? They are very very cool. Also, if you’ve never been to the Cedar you should check it out. They have some really sweet artists/bands play there.

I went to Bluestockings last night (don’t look at me like that, I only just moved here on Sunday!), what a wonderful place! Anywhere else should a new New Yorker hit up along those lines?

Meeting the city halfway

and it looks REALLY BADASS. I heard about it when it happened it Toronto and swore I would go if it happened here, and NOW IT IS so I will be up possibly until sunrise Sunday morning and LOVING LIFE.

I think, maybe, we should have some sort of meetup. Maybe in the month of July.
