Hi everyone. I came out this year officially to the majority of my family after asking my husband for a divorce. Its scary proposition to be 36 and soon to be single and truly intimidated by the dating scene, but it had to be done.

It will be ok!! It’s hard at first but you’ll get through it! I was married twice and have 3 kids (one from the first marriage and two from the second) and came out at 32. It took awhile, but my family has come around and is super supportive now!

Hang in there and if you need to talk I’ll listen! :)

  Thank you Kristy. The last few months have been a roller coaster to put it lightly. And, much to my surprise, my greatest support has been my husband. Though I have told him bluntly I am gay, and I want a divorce, hurting him greatly, he has been there for each emotional breakdown I have had since January.
